CARMELA D KRANTZ
Carmela has 30 years of experience leading all aspects of Human Resources in several small and mid size rapidly growing businesses in the San Francisco Bay Area. Over the course of her career Carmela has been the first Vice President of Human Resources at nine companies, including six start-ups - her professional experience includes technology, retail, hospitality and wholesale companies and a variety of business outcomes. Throughout her career she has built high performing teams to deliver the full suite of human resources programs and services. Carmela has worked closely with employees at all levels to help them build strong communication and leadership skills and strong working relationships to drive positive business results. Carmela is now using her extensive and diverse experience to lead WOVEN - a Human Resources Advisory and Executive and Leadership Coaching practice.
Carmela holds a BA/BS in Speech Communication and Political Science from the University of Nevada – Reno. In 2016 she completed her certification as an Executive and Leadership Coach through the Hudson Institute. Carmela served as Board Chair at Project Open Hand a San Francisco non-profit serving nutritious meals with love to the sick and elderly in our community.
ANGELA PAGLIA
Angela is an experienced Human Resources and Operations Manager with over 11 years of experience leading and scaling Human Resources teams. Throughout her career, Angela has been responsible for developing and automating core Human Resources processes including on-boarding, off boarding, benefits administration, leave of absences, performance management, compliance and immigration. Angela has worked closely with executive leadership at companies experiencing double and triple digit growth to define company policy and deliver services to all employees. Angela believes that strong communication and collaboration across departments is the key to building a thriving Human Resources function.
Angela graduated Cum Laude from the University of San Diego. She achieved the recognition of Presidential Scholar and First Honors Dean's List while earning her Bachelor of Business Administration.
SARAH KORS
Sarah is a practical, results-driven, passionate human resources professional. She has spent the past 6 years of her career in Human Resources Administration with responsibility for talent acquisition, employee classification and compensation, training and development, succession planning, and talent management. Sarah’s sweet spot is process improvement and development of internal systems, processes and tools that create efficiency and consistency and that can be measured and scaled.
Prior to her career in Human Resources, Sarah spent 10 years in sales, marketing, finance, and management roles that have proven to be invaluable in her business partnerships with clients.
Sarah holds a M.S. in Human Resources Development from Indiana State University and B.S. Marketing from Ball State University. Sarah is a Certified Health Coach with the American Council on Exercise.
Scott truong
Scott brings over 9 years of experience in technology, retail, and biotech working primarily in Human Resources Operations with a focus on systems, benefits and compliance throughout the employee life cycle. Scott uses his education and his experience as a Project Manager to build productivity, analytics and reporting tools to support human resources and inform business decisions.
Scott graduated Cum Laude from National University with a B.A. in Management. Scott holds a Certificate in Analytics in Talent Management from the Human Capital Institute and is currently working towards his SPHR certification.
how it all started…
It all started on June 25, 2014 when our team took the afternoon off to catch a San Francisco Giants game for some team bonding, a beer and a hotdog. On a sunny day in the middle of the week. We were at the ballpark. How could it get any better than this?
Tim Lincecum threw a no-hitter for the Giants. It was an unlikely outcome delivered by an unconventional guy. We were giddy.
So, what does this have to do with WOVEN?
People dedicated to their craft, putting in the hard work to be the best while still having some fun and working in partnership with their team mates. We know this is where amazing results come from and this is what great Human Resources is all about - great outcomes for people and for business.
